Let's Build a Better Internet

What is the FlareNetwork?

The FlareNetwork is a decentralized network of websites designed to promote authentic, human-made content. We don't use algorithms to promote content, nor do we accept money to push content to the top of results.

Our biggest goal is to encourage real human interaction. That means we work hard to keep bots off the network. While anyone can view content for free, interacting with it requires a yearly account that costs $11.98. This helps us ensure that creators are connecting with a genuine human audience, not inflated, fake accounts.

This structure creates a network where every publisher has an equal opportunity to be discovered. Flaresites are designed to be your central hub on the internet, directing users to your ecosystem, not big tech's walled gardens.

About the FlareNetwork

Hi! My name is Bijan Fandey, founder of Fandey Tech. I've been using the internet my entire life. I've seen good, bad, ugly and illegal content on the internet throughout my life. The internet is an extraordinary tool, it connects the entire world together and allows for easy access to information... at least it used to. The internet's original promise was easy access to information and global connection; FlareNetwork is our effort to reclaim that promise.

How the FlareNetwork Works

Everyone is on an equal playing field when it comes to search and discovery. Our system is designed to reward content that is thoughtful, valuable, and high-quality, with its value determined directly by end-users.

Users interact with content via our points system, called Ember. By contributing Ember to a piece of content, users signal its value to the rest of the network, boosting its visibility. Ember cannot be purchased.

Each user receives a 24 Ember to distribute daily. This scarcity encourages thoughtful consumption and ensures that only the most genuinely valued content rises to the top. Content that receives the most Ember within a 24-hour period is featured on the FlareFinder.net homepage as a Wildfire. Ember refreshes 24 hours after you contribute it.

Why I Made the FlareNetwork

In recent years, the user experience on major platforms has been deliberately degraded. While feeds become less enjoyable, the restrictions on what creators can share have simultaneously increased.

Modern social media platforms rely on manipulative design to maximize engagement at any cost. Content feeds are saturated with ads, making genuine discovery difficult. This system conditions users to passively accept algorithm-driven content instead of actively exploring their own interests. The implicit message is that your choices are limited, and your feed is no longer truly your own.

These platforms were not designed with the user's well-being as a priority. We believe there is a better way.

How is this Decentral?

A fair question is how the network can be decentralized if a single entity is involved. The answer lies in the distinction between ownership and infrastructure.

The FlareNetwork is not a monolithic social platform that hosts your content. Instead, you create your own independent Flaresite. While we provide the service of managing the technical backend and hosting for you—removing a significant barrier for non-technical users—you retain complete ownership of your content and set your own rules.

This model gives you the freedom and control of owning your own website without the technical overhead, all while being discoverable within a network that values quality over clicks.

Our long-term vision is to introduce physical hardware, allowing users to run and self-host their own Flaresites. This will create a truly independent and decentralized network infrastructure.
